Ministries
One of the goals of our church family is to provide opportunities for YOU to "plug in" and engage your spiritual gifts as a vital part of the local church body. Here are a few ways for you to connect and plug in: Worship should be a daily personal lifestyle activity, however, it is also part of the larger corporate experience as well. LIFE groups are interactive discussion and fellowship opportunities for believers or seekers. The thrust of what we do is simple: Jesus said that the enemy came to destroy us, but He came so we could have LIFE… and have it abundantly (John 10:10). REFUGE is our "Students Only" worship service for students (grades 6-12). Students Meet Every Wednesday From 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Fellowship Hall & Student Center for worship lead by our Student Worship Band, a relevant Bible message, small groups and recreational games. The student Center opens early at 5:30 PM for students to hang out, play games, and talk with adult leaders. Check us out on Wednesdays! Student Ministry is lead by Pastor Jonathan. The Student Ministry is open to students 6th -12th Grade. Our students meet on Wednesday Nights at 6:30 - 8:00 PM for the Revelation Student Worship Experience, Sunday Mornings during the 9:00 AM hour for LIFE groups, and on Sunday Evenings from 5:30 - 7:00 PM for a time of more intense discipleship (6th grade students also have the opportunity to attend the AWANA ministry on Sunday Nights). Additionally the student ministry hosts various activities, trips, and retreats throughout the year. Our Men's Ministry exists to assist our pastor in developing men to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Women's Ministry exists to introduce women to and deepen a woman's walk with Christ. Awana is an international, Bible-centered children's and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs, programs and training for students in preschool through high school. Our goal is to equip churches to reach children and teenagers, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. (Learn about the prayer, vision, mission and values of Awana.) The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Kingdom Quest is our Children's Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church. Our purpose is to come along side families in leading children into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, providing a safe, fun, and loving environment for them to grow in knowledge and understanding of their role in fulfilling the great commission.
